Wot do u think about the idea of 16 year olds being PCSOs. I think its a stupid idea. We aren't seen as responsable enuf to vote, so why do they think teenagers should help with sorting out crimes and stuff. Wot do u think Saz |

I wouldn't want to be policeman at that age. It would be cool but I wouldn't know what to do if something bad happened and I had to sort it out. Some 16 year olds are really mature and know what their talking about but others I wouldn't trust, espeically not as a police man. Tom |

Well I believe it would be down to the idividual, depending on how mature/knowledgable they are. With regards to what TomB said ,about maybe not knowing what to do, I think it would be the police forces responsability to ensure that all their officers/pcsos are trained to deal with all situations. Sarah, May I ask where you got the idea about 16 year old PCSO's. |

Although in theory it sounds good, what happens when the 16 year old is conforonted with an abusive adult or something of a similar nature? Not the best of ideas... ali xx |
